For quite some time, was thinking of writing articles on higher school maths. Because of two reasons, 1. when i was a student of 11th -12th , i feel, i didn’t get enough time to spend with math due to the hurry of completing syllabus, 2. i feel i really started loving mathematics of late.
Coming to the topic, a trivial but very important one rather, Natural numbers are all the +ve (non fractional) numbers, i.e., 1, 2,3…. without considering 0. Its commonly represented by N. Some books include 0 in it and represent it by N0
If you add 0 and -ve numbers (non fractional) to the set Natural numbers, the resulting set then is called Integer (Z).
If you add fractions to the set Integer, then it become Rational Numbers (Q)
And if you go on, and the non rational numbers like 22/7 or e (i.e., the fractions which if you convert to decimal the numbers of digits post decimal will be infinite) to the set Rational Numbers (Q) then it will be called Real Numbers (R)
Hi, I am Shibashis, a blogger by passion and an engineer by profession. I have written most of the articles for mechGuru.com. For more than a decades i am closely associated with the engineering design/manufacturing simulation technologies. I am a self taught code hobbyist, presently in love with Python (Open CV / ML / Data Science /AWS -3000+ lines, 400+ hrs. )
